Hunston Parish Council has a vacancy for an enthusiastic Assistant Clerk for 8 hours a week to assist the Clerk of the Council in their legal duties. Reporting to the Clerk of the Council you will assist by providing a clerical and administrative support service alongside the Clerk. The successful candidate will be confident and enjoy dealing with members of the public, as part of the local community.
Hours to be worked will be split over two days a week at the Annexe, Hunston Village Hall, Selsey Road, Hunston PO20 1AW. Some flexible working may be required to cover annual holiday and training courses.
The successful applicant will be qualified to at least GCSE level and must be fully proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher), have good organisational skills and a good telephone manner. Local Government experience useful but not necessary as training will be given.
Salary, National Joint Council LC1 point 5/6 Salary Scale (£18,975 – £19,171) pro rata.
